Return conditions

  • 30-day reflection period
    After receiving your product, you have 30 days to view and try the product and, if necessary, return it. This means that you carefully remove the product from its packaging and install it. Then you can look at it, feel it and test it. Do not use the product more than is necessary to evaluate it properly. Within this period the product may be returned to us without giving reasons (for reporting returns; see the FAQ ”reporting returns”). The 30-day trial period only applies to consumer orders, companies cannot claim this.

 

  • Product return in original packaging
    As far as possible, the packaging should remain undamaged so that the product can be returned in (nearly) its original condition if it is not satisfactory.

 

  • Product returned undamaged
    We assume that a product is not tested longer than necessary in order to assess the product properly. And that the product is handled carefully, so that the product can be returned undamaged, without traces of use, in case you do not like it.

 

  • Refund
    Upon receipt of your return the amount excluding shipping costs will be refunded to you within 14 working days using the same method as the amount was received by us upon purchase. That you want to test the product before you decide to keep it is quite logical for us. It is also a matter of course for us that you treat the packaging properly. We ask you to return it in its original packaging. This way we can be sure that the product is well packed and unnecessary damage in transit is avoided. The risk of shipping lies with you as the sender. In case the product is damaged and/or contains traces of use, we reserve the right to deduct costs from the amount to be refunded.

Report product return

There are 2 reasons for returns; within the trial period or because of a defect. We distinguish between these 2 reasons. Read more about registering your return below.

Trial period
When you make an online purchase with us, you have a 30-day reflection period after receiving your order. This means that you have 30 days* to test the product. You may view and possibly try the product, just as you would in a physical shop. When viewing/installing, the product must remain undamaged. If it is necessary to assemble an item to evaluate it, make sure you do not use it more than necessary. Be careful with packaging material and products. If reasonably possible, the original packaging should remain undamaged.

If you like the product, keep it and the packaging materials can be discarded. If you wish to exercise your right of return, please contact us at service@nikki.amsterdam. We will send you a withdrawal form and a link so you can print out a return label. Enclose the form in the packaging to speed up the process. Stick the return label over the label with your address.

Return due to defect
Unfortunately, it occasionally happens that the product is defective. Sometimes you can easily solve the problem yourself. In that case it is not a defect, but with some explanation the problem can be solved. That is why you should always read our FAQ about the product first. If you cannot find the solution, please send an e-mail to service@nikki.amsterdam. We will be happy to help! For quick processing, we ask you to fill these in as completely as possible and send them along in the packaging. Also check our Warranty Conditions

I want to order a part again.

If you want to order a part, please send an e-mail to service@nikki.amsterdam. In general we have the parts in stock and we do not have to order it from the manufacturer. We will inform you about the costs and the expected delivery date.

My product does not work.

Should your purchase not function (properly), please check the faq questions of the product you purchased. Here you can check whether your problem is described and what the solution might be. If this does not help you, please contact us at service@nikki.amsterdam.

A part is missing.

If this is the case, please send an email to service@nikki.amsterdam and we will resolve this.

What is the warranty period?

Our products have a warranty period of 2 years. Within this guarantee period Nikki.Amsterdam will replace or repair the product or a part that has become defective. This only applies when the products have been purchased directly from Nikki.Amsterdam or from one of our resellers. Therefore keep the proof of purchase carefully.

The guarantee does not apply in case a repair or replacement of parts is necessary due to improper use, in case of an accident, or when the products have been repaired or adjusted other than in accordance with the instructions provided by Nikki.Amsterdam. When a component or part is used that does not originate from Nikki.Amsterdam or one of its resellers, the guarantee is also not applicable.

Batteries, fabrics and leather are excluded from the guarantee. Batteries are guaranteed for 1 year based on normal use and proper maintenance conditions. We refer to the user manual provided and to the information on our website which can be found on the product page of the respective product as well as via our faq. The warranty does not guarantee the effective service life of the batteries. This is mainly determined by the intensity of use and care of the battery.

All claims are limited to the repair or replacement of (a part of) the products and do not include transport and administration costs. Nikki.Amsterdam is not liable for claims outside the warranty period or for any other claims or damages, including but not limited to claims for faulty design, careless or misleading advice, incidental damage, consequential damage or injury to another person, entity or company.

First and foremost, we are always open to dialogue. If something does not go as expected, we ask you to contact us personally. This can be by phone or email. Our starting point is to reach a solution together.
